As you are aware that the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) had launched a unique environment lecture series last year on the occasion of ‘ World Environment Day’ on the selected thematic areas integrating and mainstreaming the environment, social and economic imperatives with the objective of attaining sustainability in automotive sector.
So far, SIAM has successfully completed 19 lectures under the SIAM lectures series 2020-21 and now comes to its last lecture under the series #20 Lecture with a very pertinent theme: ‘Vehicle Inspection and Certification: Challenges & Opportunities’. With the fast-growing economy, the vehicle population in India has grown rapidly. Though the new technology vehicles meeting stringent emission and safety standards are introduced in the market, there are still a lot of old vehicles operating on the roads. Any vehicle, which is not maintained well, would be an environmental and safety hazard to the society. With the increase in vehicle population, it is essential to ensure that the in-use vehicles, which are on road, meet the safety and emission requirements for safe and environmental friendly situation. The vehicle Inspection & Certification program is an effective tool to improve the condition of the in-use vehicle fleet.
The 20th Lecture is being organized on 22nd December 2021, 02:30 p.m. – 05:00 p.m. At this lecture, experts will share experiences, best practices, and opportunities of Vehicle Inspection and Certification. What you may stand to gain from the deliberations:
